Build the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, channel by channel, and out-prestige your rival architects.
Who it's for
You like medium-weight strategy with an ancient setting and quiet, indirect competition. Best with three players and about two hours.
Not for you ifβ¦
You want quick turns or a lot of table talk. Players who dislike optimizing a tight action budget will feel the pressure.
Vibe's take
Thoughtful and a little tight, like a puzzle in which every action costs you something else. The interaction comes from competing for the same spots, not from direct attacks.
In Amyitis you are a Babylonian noble with one grand project: the Hanging Gardens. The game is named after the queen said to have pined for her green homeland, and your job is to build gardens, lay out the irrigation channels that feed them, trade, and recruit helpers, all in the name of prestige. Tiles go down, influence gets contested, and every move nudges your standing a little higher or someone else's a little lower. It is a medium-weight strategy game of two hours at most, with an ancient setting and plenty of planning, best with three players.
